Do not use harsh chemicals to clean your bag. I used this bag to transport my bike from London to Portugal and back and I am astounded at the quality for the price. Really durable, two huge pockets which fit the wheels and my empty pannier bags. I was able to leave my pannier rack and pedals attached, and simply fold in the handlebars and the bag zipped up fine. For larger bikes/specific airline rules you might need to make more adjustments but I was so pleased with being able to essentially reattach and pump the wheels and go within 15 mins. The handles on the bag make it really easy to carry and it's very easy to pop it onto a luggage trolley at the airport. The whole thing rolls down to the size of a backpack, so it would easily fit in a pannier bag, or if you do as I did, you can slot it into a packpack to cycle with and then head to a stored/left luggage place.

I know this is strictly speaking not meant for airline travel, but I found it perfect. Just remember to bubble wrap your derailleur!

Not suitable for airplane. It is not padded

Excellent bike bag made of a really durable material. Useful for carrying the bike by car, train without risking scratching or ruining the frame; obviously not suitable for airplane transport since it is not a bike box. The bag contains two internal side pockets where wheels can be housed. Excellent value for money and hyper recommended product!

Cost effective bike bag option

I used the Scicon Travel Basic Bike bag to transport my mountain bike to the UK from overseas. It was easy to use, accomodated my large mountain bike after a bit of dismanteling and protected by bike on the flight. A good cost effective option if you are looking for an occasional use item.
