Does what it says. I would not leave my derailleur attached in the soft bag as there is little protection. This bag is very handy for storing your detached derailleur. The value of this bag is the straps to fit it to the bike frame securely. There's loads of room in bag but unfortunately no padding. The bag is quite expensive for what it is but it's better than having your derailleur loose.
